April 8th, 2025 You would think that, after how busy and actually crazy this past year has been, I would crack open a book and an ice cold A & W root beer, lay out on my favorite beach towel in the hot sand, and take it real easy this summer. That’s probably what IContinue reading “Summer Tour 2025”

The Weirdos Art Show
March 12th, 2025 You can say a lot of things about Eric and I (and we’ve heard it all, knock it off!), but you can’t say we don’t try big things! When I was a kid, I promised myself that when I made my own comic, I would do it the “right way”: with paperContinue reading “The Weirdos Art Show”
Men With(out) Fear
March 5th, 2025 I am (clearly) a massive fan of Daredevil; this photo was taken on one of my best friend’s wedding day. (No, he did not allow me to stand before the congregation like this, a missed opportunity in my opinion.) The new season just started on Disney+ and it is not only fuckingContinue reading “Men With(out) Fear”
Smarg Review
December 30th, 2024 I was so excited to finally get the first issue of Smarg delivered to my door! This book is both the debut of pals Paul Hallgren and Jesse Switters as a creative team and Snow Day Press, the new local comic imprint. Smarg himself is the alter ego of Swerven Niv-Bakcen, anContinue reading “Smarg Review”
Best of 2024
December 23rd, 2024 As I remind you every year: lists are so stupid, and oh do I love lists. These aren’t the “best” in the same way we rank athletes or products; these are the things that best captured my imagination, best dominated my conversations, best made me think and feel and moved my soulContinue reading “Best of 2024”

Familiar, If Not Forgotten
July 25th, 2024 I just saw Deadpool & Wolverine and I need to talk about it, but not actually about it, and I promise (I PROMISE) no spoilers here (for real, I am very serious about this). No, I really want to talk about Carl Jung and change (the personal kind, not loose). When weContinue reading “Familiar, If Not Forgotten”
