October 8th, 2022 Holy cats, Rochester, you showed up today. One of the first things I saw was a young boy with his dad. He had just walked into his first convention ever and he was telling his father how amazing it all was while they were in the moment, experiencing it together. It wasContinue reading “NerdinOut Con 2022 Day 1”

The Comic Show @ Valley Creek Mall
September 17th, 2022 Oh, the humanity. It can be hard to be human, especially when the world is being particularly human-y. It’s one of the reasons I’m taking a break from essays this month; I’m just not up to dealing with it all right now, and the feeling feels mutual. But today? I needed today.Continue reading “The Comic Show @ Valley Creek Mall”

Building an Afterlife
June 4th, 2022 I’m writing this while my human blood is still mostly replaced with coffee, so I hope it’s coherent. Kicked To Death By Rabbits
April 4th, 2022 A few years ago I did an escape room on my birthday. It was designed to look like the interior of a spaceship. I looked up photos of the room online and spent weeks getting excited for it. When we arrived and my group finally got inside, the room was tiny. IContinue reading “Kicked To Death By Rabbits”

An Aside on Piracy
February 9, 2022 People stealing shit isn’t new. America is full of hypocrisy; the same people who say capitalism works use their cousin’s Netflix password and pirate films they don’t feel they should have to pay for. If you and I went out to eat, and at the end of the meal you suggested weContinue reading “An Aside on Piracy”
